Springvale Lodge  #190 A.F.& A.M.
Trestle Board for the month of February, 2006
Happy Valentine’s Day!

From the Oriental East: Greetings Brethren!  The next Stated Communication of Springvale Lodge #190 AF & AM will be held on Tuesday, February 14, 2006:
6:30 PM – Dinner
7:30 PM – Meeting – We will be reading one Application and one request for Affiliation.  You will notice our can goods donation box is empty again.  The can goods were delivered to the shelter.  They were greatly needed and appreciated.  Let’s keep up the good work.  Try to remember to bring a can of food to donate when you come to lodge.
Please invite a Brother to come to Lodge with you and offer to pick him up!
Congratulations Brothers Karl W. Smith ’56, Earle L. Littlefield ’82, David E. Cook ’79, Harvey M. Weiss ’56, David A. Bast ’62, Robert B. Riding ’00, John C. Pickin ’49, Gary W. Brown ’99, Leonard W. Lehoux ’85, Robert C. Krannig ’85 on your Masonic Birthdays!
On January 24th we did our first M.M. Degree of the year.  We had a very nice turnout with 25 Brothers in attendance.  I’d like to thank all those who made it possible.  Wor. Bro Bill Otis did an excellent job as the “Speaking Fellow Craft”.  Wor. Bro. Howard Moulton, Grand Tyler did an excellent lecture, and Wor. Bro. Richard Faulkner did “On Yonder Book” in like manner.  Wor. Bro. Richard Hanson did a great job filling in as Marshall on short notice while suffering from --- almost pneumonia.  Bro. Nick Georges was an excellent “Wayfaring Man”.  Bro. Nick may be doing the first section of the EA Lecture when we work our next Degree.  Thanks to all who filled in on short notice!
Welcome to our new M.M. Brother Andrew Pomeroy.  He will be a big help to Springvale Lodge.  Welcome also to our three Brothers who affiliated with us: Wor. Bro. Richard Faulkner, Wor. Bro. Ray Cambra and Bro. Steve Ravesi.  It is a real pleasure to have them join us.
The Traveling Gavel is now at Springvale.  Let’s hope it is captured this month so we can travel to another lodge and retrieve it.
Brothers, thank you for the good attendance on practice nights and also for the help with special cleaning projects.  Wor. Bro. Dana Hagerman did a Herculean job cleaning and waxing the Dining Room floor.  Thanks Dana!  We have had a brother volunteer to take on the duties of Janitor.  The job is open.  We will be electing someone to fill the job this month.
Wor. Bro. Dick Hanson’s son has our “Slipper” out for repair.  He is a professional painter.  I have no doubt he will do a first class job. (Extra--- it is back and it is beautiful!)  Now, a little electrical work and it will be ready to go back to its resting place on the outside wall of the bank for all to see.
We need to raise money for a new commercial grade stove!  Springvale and Fraternal Lodges will collaborate and split the profit on a
Public Corn Beef and Cabbage Dinner
                                           March 11th – 4 to 6:30 PM
                                                                   At
                                                Fraternal Lodge in Alfred
Just in time for St Patrick’s Day – what a coincidence!
We need volunteers to help serve and clean up.  Can you help?  Call Don at 459-7924 to let us know.  Better yet, come to Lodge on the 14th and tell us in person.  I promise you won’t regret it.  If you have other ideas for raising funds, please let us know. Purchasing the stove is a high priority!
It is needless to say, but we will anyway.  If you haven’t paid your dues yet it is time.  You need your current dues card and we need your $40.00 in the Lodge coffers.  Please, if this causes a real problem for you, let us know.  We can help, but we can’t if we don’t know.  Otherwise, we will expect your dues payment soon.
If our Secretary doesn’t your current e-mail address, please send it to him.  The Lodge saves money when you receive messages via e-mail.  If you receive this TB via regular mail, he doesn’t have your e-mail address
Fraternally, Donald A. Burbank, Master
From the Secretary’s Desk: Brethren.  The Master has said it all!  Isn’t he doing great?  I’m happy!  Hope to see you on the 14th!
Fraternally, Wor. Richard G. Ford, Sec,y -   dick.ford@verizon.net
