APRIL, 2017

Stated Meeting:

Wednesday, April 19, 2017.  There will no dinner. Snacks at 6:30 p.m. and meeting at 7:30.

Special Meeting:

April 12, 2017.  Dinner will be at 6:00 with degree work at 7.00 p.m.  We will be raising two candidates to the sublime degree of a Master Mason.  The degree work will be by brothers from Fraternal Lodge. We have always needed help for the past few years.  We are now stronger and getting back on track.  Ask yourself, is there anything I can do to live up to my oath I took in front of my Brothers?

Activities in other Lodges:

April 5, 2017 Preble Lodge, Sanford stated meeting. Dinner will be at 6:30 p.m. and the meeting at 7:30.

April 8, 2017 York Lodge, West Kennebunk is having a Friendship Night at 6:00 p.m.

April 27, 2017 the District Officers Assoc. will meet at Arundel Lodge.  Dinner will be at 6:00 p.m. and a School of Instruction will be at 7:00 p.m.  The schools are a great source of training for degree work.  I have attended two so far and learned something new each time.

Be sure to check out the “Grand Lodge of Maine” web site.  There has been a few changes but still easy to follow by District.

Rehearsals each Sunday, 6:00 p.m. in the MM degree.

The Yard Sale is coming up in June and is very important in supporting our Lodge.

Our By-laws require that at the stated communications in May, annually, the Lodge shall elect, by ballot a Master, Senior and Junior Wardens, Treasurer and Secretary.  The Master elect shall nominate and, with the advice and consent of the Wardens appoint the other officers. Installation of Officers shall be after the stated meeting in June.  Each member should consider volunteering to accept some office for the 2017-2018 year.

Famous quotes!

“Tomorrow is the most important thing in life.  It comes to us at midnight very clean.  It’s perfect when it arrives and it puts itself in our hands.  It hopes we learn something from yesterday”     Brother John Wayne
