FEBRUARY TRESTLEBOARD

GREETINGS FROM THE ORIENTAL EAST

Greetings Brethren. First Item will be an Entered Apprentice Degree on January 31st. As the line is fairly new, they would like to see their efforts supported and appreciated. Haven’t had a lot of rehearsal time, but it looks as if the degree will go well.

Brethren, the meeting on the 17th of January was quite informative, and some good ideas were brought forth. One that I found of particular interest is seeing about getting the wives, and/or significant others involved. Come to the stated in February, and this will be discussed in much greater detail, as I do believe it could help the Lodge.

I still need a Steward in line. As there many members I am not personally acquainted with, I have no idea who to call on. Surely there is a brother reading this who can help fill the line. Hard to make an arch with only one Steward. PLEASE GIVE ME A CALL IF YOU WILL HELP OUT THIS YEAR!!!!! [207] 490-2139

If I am out, which is fairly frequent, leave a message. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

A question was asked if there was such a thing as a “mission statement” in place for Fraternal Lodge. My only response was that I would like to see Fraternal Lodge restored to the leadership position it has previously enjoyed.

It would be good to see us get more community service programs going on, but it is very difficult when it becomes necessary to ask the same Brothers over and over again. Fraternal is a busy lodge, but it would be nice to spread the “labor” around a little bit more. Wouldn’t you my Brethren like to see the Lodge become such a force in the community the non-Masons would be asking to join. It could happen with more participation, and with more ideas to use, it will happen. You can help to bring this about.

I would be remiss if I didn’t recognize an achievement by our Junior Warden, who is also a dual member with Springvale #190. For his selection of Mason of the year for Springvale. He brings the same enthusiasm to Fraternal Lodge, and is already planning for his year in the East. Good Job Nick.

Hope to see many of you on the 31st  of January and on the 21st of Feb.
