TRESTLE BOARD – FEBRUARY, 2012

Stated Meeting:
The next stated meeting will be on Wednesday, February 15, 2012.  The meal will be at 6:30 and work will begin at 7:30.  The work of the evening will be the Fellow Craft degree on four candidates.  Come and enjoy a night of fellowship.

From the EAST:
I am glad to report that the insulation project in the ceiling of the Lodge Hall has been completed.  This should make a great difference in the comfort of our hall summer and winter along with the fact of cutting our heating costs by a great deal.

The Lodge has read another application and it has been referred to the committee of inquiry.

The 19th Masonic District (D.O.A.) is sponsoring another dance this year.  The dance will be held at the Elks Club in Sanford on Saturday, Feb. 25, 2012 from 6:30 to 9:30.  The Ray Brown Band will be entertaining again this year.  Last year the event was a great success.  Remember the funds go to charity and you can bring friends (Couples) that are not Masons.  Tickets can be acquired from Harold Jamieson at the address below. Food is free!

Correction from our last Trestle Board.  The total funds raised for the York County Shelter ended up at $2,100.00, not $1792.00.  The County Commissioners have refused to include $31,000.00 in their budget again this year.  Our support is needed more than ever.  We thank the continued support of members of other Lodges.

A Master Masons School of Instruction will be held at Fraternal Lodge #55 on 3/27/2012 from 7:00 to 9:00 P.M.  Believe me when I say these sessions are not boring.

Naval Lodge in Kittery will host a Fellowcraft School of Instruction on Tuesday, February 28, 2012 from 7:00 to 9:00 P.M.

Rehearsals will be each Monday at 6:30 P.M.

From the Secretary’s Corner
We have 12 Brethren that have not yet submitted their dues to the Lodge and are therefore in arrears as of December 31, 2011.  We have three that still owe 2011 dues.  One of the most unpleasant tasks of the Secretary is to send out delinquent notices but the Lodge pays Grand Lodge dues regardless if the individual pays.  It is much easier to pay each year then to have to pay three years to keep from being suspended from membership.  I am sending along with this Trestle Board a second notice to all in arrears.
